StoneBridge Church AWANA Volunteer Opportunities

Our AWANA volunteers have the privilege of introducing a new generation to Jesus Christ and to help them apply God’s living Word to their lives.

How can I Help? As you can imagine, we appreciate any help you can give us! It takes a lot of people to carry out the AWANA program. If you can spare 2 hours on Sunday nights or help with our special activities we would be very grateful. Please consider the options listed here and indicate your preference.

Nursery care is provided for children under 3 years old.

If you are interested in helping with one of the following volunteer positions, complete the volunteer section of the registration form or contact David Simpson.

Playing a variety of unique games on the Awana circle involves all of the kids in fun, fast activity as part of a team. Games are appropriate to varying physical abilities. Working with the Games Director, Games Coordinators/Assistants encourage organization, enthusiasm, and good sportsmanship. Games Coordinators are required to complete Leadership Training.

Leaders participate in all phases of club night. Leaders play a vital role in the scripture memory focus of Awana by listening to children's recitation of verses and by coaching those that may need additional assistance. Leaders accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and have the desire to serve Him by working with youth. Leaders are required to complete Leadership Training.

Listeners listen to children recite verses, encourage children, help the leaders, and provide crowd control.

LITs can be between the grades of 7-12th grade. LITs will be assigned to serve with adult leadership. LITs listen to children recite verses, encourage children, help the leaders, and provide crowd control. LITs are required to complete Leadership Training.

The AWANA Store is full of fun items that the clubbers can purchase with their points as a reward for their hard work. Store helpers collect, set up and "sell" the items to the clubbers twice a year.

Bible Quiz helpers prepare the children for the annual Bible Quiz event in January.

Bring cookies, treats, and snacks to special AWANA events.
