Our 2011 trip to Latvia was an unforgettable experience! We had a team of 7 go help Petr's Church put on a Summer Camp for Orphan's in Latvia and in a few surrounding countries. Our team had two important roles, be cabin counselors and run an American Craft Station.
It was a great week of building on friendships from past years and starting new ones with campers we had never met before. This year they also brought in a new guest speaker who did an amazing job relating to the kids and showing them how each one of them mattered to God. This was a big deal to kids who have fresh painful memories of being abandoned by their families and left with the feeling that their life did not matter to anyone. By the end of camp we had several kids accept Christ and many who made decisions to change the way they lived their life.
All in all it was a great experience and our team got to enjoy seeing God do amazing work in the lives of each other, the campers, and the leaders. Thank you for your prayers and support!
