What is our Parent Volunteer List
We all love a familiar face and someone who knows our name. How nice to feel the warmth of a caring hug. The smile from someone who is waiting for us each Sunday with exciting plans for the day ahead. Your child has the opportunity to learn through our wonderful teachers who not only give your child the lesson for that day but also help them feel safe and loved, everything you would expect from your church family.
But our teachers need help each Sunday Morning, and so we utilize a Parent Volunteer Program. This program requires a minimal time commitment but one that your child will benefit from each and every week. Our Parent Volunteer Program is a rotation of parents who attend StoneBridge with a child in the Preschool area.
Enclosed is a schedule outlining dates from January through May. All scheduled volunteer lists are set up on a semester basis (Spring, Summer and Fall). This is our Spring 2010 semester. Your family has been assigned one Sunday over the next semester to help in our Preschool area. You will be providing an extra set of hands to help out the staff and teachers (no diaper changing). This program is essential as our attendance escalates and your participation is greatly needed.
By serving one hour only 3 to 4 TIMES each year, our ministry is able to experience everything that is planned for your child every Sunday. By arriving only 15 minutes before the start of your assigned service, you are creating that warm welcome our children need. On your assigned Sunday please arrive at the Nursery/Preschool check in kiosk by 9:15 for 9:30 service and 10:45 for 11:05 service. You will check in with one of the area Directors and they will find the classroom where you are needed. If you know in advance you will be gone please take a minute to switch with another couple. In the event of a switch, call Kim Smith or email christine.slinkard@sbridge.org so that our list can be updated as well and we know who to expect.
You will be contacted the week you volunteer by Kim Smith, our StoneBridge Preschool Ministry Coordinator. Your gift of service is greatly appreciated by each of us in the Preschool Ministry, we are privileged to be given the opportunity to teach your child each week and work alongside you.
